Landing a job, any job, in today’s economy seems miraculous. Instead of just settling on any job, you may want to consider looking at the top companies for sales jobs.
More than simple employment, these companies offer competitive compensation and benefits packages as well as multiple perks that make working them the best places to work.
Throughout the country, there are hundreds of great places to work. Below is our top ten list.
- SAS: SAS offers their employees some of the best perks available. This privately held software company offers premier childcare at cut-rate costs, covers 90% of employee’s health insurance costs, offers unlimited sick days and even has doctors and nurses on staff. Employees also have access to a fitness center, library and a summer camp for their kids. Unfortunately, you will have to move to North Carolina to land one of their plum sales jobs!
- Edward Jones: Long known as the premier investment firm in the nation, we love Edward Jones because they managed to hold onto every single employee throughout the recent recession. They did have to freeze salaries, but kept their profit sharing program open.
- Google: This long time member of the top ten best places to work, Google is still one of our favorites. They have had to cut some of their top perks due to the recession, but they still offer 401K matching as well as a stock option.
- Qualcomm: This wireless company based in San Diego is a perennial favorite. With perks like surfing lessons, baseball games, bonfires and whitewater rafting, Qualcomm believes that if they create a positive environment for their employees, they will work better and harder.
- Genetech: A unique company working on curing cancer among other things, they have a great culture and encourage their employees to become shareholders.
- American Express: Simply one of the best companies to work for if you are a parent. From childcare classes to onsite child care for emergency situations, American Express goes the distance.
- Deloitt: This company has simply rewritten the book when it comes to changing the way we work. Their unique approach allows employees to intensify or lighten their workloads as their personal life dictates.
- JP Morgan Chase: This company offers all of their employees the ability to tailor their work schedules through a variety of tools including telecommuting, flex time and job sharing.
- Proctor and Gamble: A company that is truly interested in the health of their employees, Proctor and Gamble offers their employees access to a unique program that helps them learn to eat right, take breaks and exercise to improve their physical and mental fitness.
- Marriott International: Another company that focuses on flex staffing, Marriott leads the way in allow their employees to pick projects and telecommute.
