Indiana Jobs Dwindle

Along with the rest of the nation, Indiana jobs are continuing to decline.

During November, Indiana’s unemployment rate increased at a faster pace than the nation as a whole, according to an article by WLKY. The state had an unemployment rate of 7.1 percent, up from 6.4 percent during October and higher than the national unemployment rate of 6.7 percent.

According to the United States Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics, Indiana had a total non-farm employment of 2,950,600 workers during November. This is a decrease from 2,963,400 workers during October and a 1.6 percent decrease from last year. That means Indiana lost an additional 12,800 jobs during November, many in the automotive industry.
