Unemployed Training Assistance Expanded

Often the difference between being employed and staying jobless is one or two training programs that help you meet the requirements of a new job.

To help with that, training assistance is often available for job seekers, depending on how and why they lost their jobs.

The U.S. Department of Labor has just announced a new program which makes $34 million in training assistance funds available to 19 states.  These are “Trade Adjustment Assistance” (TAA) related funds, and they are supposed to help workers who have been negatively impacted by America’s current trade policies.

If your state is on the list below, check with your local State Employment Office to see if you qualify for these benefits.
