These employers, the 50 Best Employers for Workers Over 50, were selected by AARP based on an application the employer submits to AARP which is evaluated by an independent panel of judges.

For each employer, you will find: a link to the AARP Profile, a count of the number of jobs posted, a link to the jobs posted, and the employer’s primary location.

Two of the selected employers are placement agencies, with a combined total of 4,600 openings. According to their AARP Profiles, they actively recruiter candidates over 50 for their clients which is why they are included.  One employer had no jobs posted that we could find, but they probably still have jobs open.

The distribution by industry:

• 14 – hospitals and health care
• 7 - insurance
• 6 - education, 5 colleges or universities and one public school district
• 5 - financial services

The distribution by state:

• 5 – Massachusetts
• 4 – California
• 4 – Illinois
• 4 – Virginia
