Company Helping Students Find Maryland Jobs

College students should soon be finding it easier and easier to start their job search.

With the success of many job search sites such as CareerBuiler and Monster, some employers are looking to take matters into their own hands. While many colleges offer career counseling services, some companies are taking further steps to help employers and potential employees match up.

While many companies offer a simple search and apply job opening page on their Web site, some are developing their tactics to make the job search experience a more conducive one for all the parties involved.

Most recently, Aronson & Company, an accounting and consulting firm based in Rockville, Maryland, announced the launch of TeamAronson, a site that will help college students find Maryland jobs. The Web site, designed to help the firm’s recruiting efforts, is part of an initiative to help reinforce the employer brand and get the word out on college campuses.

According to an article by Accounting Web, the company also plans to develop the site as a resource for accounting professionals, offering them access to industry information. Aronson & Company also plans to add a blog to the site, which will be a source of information for recruiters, students and job seekers.

“The Team Aronson initiative is based around the concept that we give our employees the option to call their own plays, make their own moves, and determine their own path,” Managing Officer Lisa J. Cines said in the article. “This is a team that values unique abilities and understands the needs of our staff, as evidenced by the fact that we were recently recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the ‘Best Places to Work’ for the second year in a row.”
