Job Numbers and Growth

Construction project managers nationally number 487,000. The unemployment level for workers is very low, compared to other occupations. About 2% of employees were unemployed recently.

Area Job Conditions

Construction project managers are relatively common in Bend (Oregon), Fort Walton Beach (Florida), and Carson City (Nevada). They are rarer in La Crosse (Wisconsin), Parkersburg (West Virginia), and Erie (Pennsylvania).

Workers are paid highest in Punta Gorda (Florida), New York (New York), and Port St. Lucie (Florida), and lowest in Harrisonburg (Virginia), Pueblo (Colorado), and Brownsville (Texas).

Training and Education
