Known as the Career Assessment Goddess, Susan Guarneri earned a Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and holds licenses as a Career Counselor and also as a Professional Resume Writer in her home state of Wisconsin.
Susan specializes in using career assessments and is MBTI®-Qualified with 20+ years of experience in assessments and personality testing.
With a background in corporate training, Susan has delivered management development, outplacement, career development consulting, team building, workforce development, personal branding, and communications training to the employees of Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and government agencies, as well as college students. In addition, Susan has also been a college career counselor and director of job search services for a nonprofit career services organization.
Susan holds 13 certifications in the career industry and is currently the only National Certified Career Counselor in the world who is also a Master Personal Branding Strategist (one of first 18 worldwide), Online Identity Management Strategist (one of first 35 worldwide), and Master Resume Writer with a Lifetime Achievement Award (first ever awarded by Career Directors International-CDI). Her cutting-edge career development methods, such as the LEAP Program for career transition, uses best practices in distance career counseling combined with practical, results-driven career coaching.
Co-author of Job Search Bloopers (Career Press, Aug. 2008), Susan has also authored the “Master the Maze of Career Assessments” Program, an intensive career assessments training boot camp.
Passionate about helping individuals discover and attain a job they can love, Susan writes the Career Goddess Blog and contributes to the award-winning CareerHub blog and The Personal Branding Blog. She created and developed the acclaimed New Jersey SUCCESS Program for women re-entering the workforce, as well as the well-received New York City Summer Youth Employment Training Program.
Along with being a select TORI (Toast Of the Recruiting Industry) Award Judge (annual resume competition sponsored by Career Directors International) for several years, Susan serves on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Career Development Association and CDI. She is also the Executive Producer of the monthly Reach Personal Branding Interview Series and was chosen for the prestigious 360Reach Leadership Team.
